Acuta Music

Civic Fanfare 

Elgar's Civic Fanfare was written to open the 1927 Hereford Three Choirs Festival. It was never published in his lifetime and the Acuta Music study score, published in 1991, was the work's first appearance in print. It is scored for full orchestra excluding Violins.

Duration : 2 minutes.

Orchestral requirements : 2+1  2+1  2+1  2+1  4 3 3 1  Timp 3P  Organ  Strings (no violins). The Cor Anglais, Bass Clarinet, Contrabassoon and Organ could be dispensed with if circumstances dictate.

Difficulty : Straightforward.
